The model

The organization was founded in 1977 with the aim of supporting young artists financially and through increased public relations work. Since then, the art foundation has supported around 900 artists from various fields.

In 2003 the organization was awarded the Landesstiftung's cultural promotion award. The financing is based on complementary financing, which consists of public grants and donations. Every euro raised from donations raised from all walks of life - companies, cities and private individuals - is doubled by the state. Thus, the grant from the state of Baden-Württemberg depends on the amount of the donation income.

In addition, the fate of the organization is controlled by the advisory board and the board of trustees, in which all political parties, heads of cultural institutions and artists are represented. The managing director coordinates and organizes the work of the foundation.
