The Kunstverein Bad Salzdetfurth is an art association founded in 1991 in Bodenburg . He organizes group exhibitions with works by national and international artists in the art building on the outer bailey of Schloss Bodenburg .

history

The Kunstverein Bad Salzdetfurth was founded on January 14, 1991 by the sculptor Hans-Oiseau Kalkmann and 27 other citizens of the city. In 1992 the Kunstverein leased the former cattle stables of Schloss Bodenburg for 50 years from Burghard von Cramm and in the following years, with the help of donations and public funds, developed it into an exhibition space with a floor space of around 500 m². In 1999 the building, which is popularly known as the “bull barn” because of its stable use, received the monument award from the Lower Saxony Sparkasse Foundation . In 2012, Burghard von Cramm donated the building to the Foundation Art Building Schlosshof Bodenburg, founded in 2009 .
