Kurt Wimmer (journalist)

Kurt Wimmer (born December 18, 1932 in Linz ) is an Austrian journalist .

Life

Kurt Wimmer attended secondary school in Linz, graduated there and then studied history and French at the University of Graz . Following his doctorate, he did his doctorate on liberalism in Upper Austria , he worked for the Kleine Zeitung from 1958 . After six years in the local and political editorial offices, he became deputy editor-in-chief alongside the editor-in-chief Fritz Csoklich in 1964 , a collaboration that lasted 30 years. From 1994 until his retirement in 1997, Wimmer was editor-in-chief.
