action
A boy of about 16 wakes up naked in a forest near Seattle , Washington State . He can't remember anything, he can't even talk. Since his nakedness caused a sensation and indignation among the residents of Seattle, the boy was sent to a juvenile detention center. The psychologist Nicole Trager, who is called in, takes care of the young man and gives him accommodation at her home. To give him a name, she calls him Kyle, after the brother of the juvenile detention center director.
At first, the Tragers' children, Lori and Josh, don't like the idea of accepting a mentally retarded roommate, but Kyle knows how to learn to integrate into the family and make friends over time.
But Nicole Trager is still interested in Kyle's past; especially since the boy develops amazing skills and has a high level of intelligence. Kyle's only physical flaw is also without a navel , adding to the mystery of his origin. Only over time does she discover the secret, which will be fully revealed for the viewer at the end of the first season.
It turns out that Kyle was born out of an experiment in which people were supposed to be developed through an artificial and prolonged pregnancy. A girl was also created, which is called Jessie XX.
Background information
The series, which was filmed in Vancouver , Canada , proved to be a success in the USA, so that ABC Family broadcast a second season from June 2007 and a third season from January 2009.
