The Labský důl (German name: Elbgrund ) is a small valley in the Czech Giant Mountains . It begins about one kilometer east-southeast of the source of the Elbe at an altitude of about 1,300 meters with the Elbe Falls . The old Elbe Falls hut from the 19th century was located directly at the waterfall , now the new Labská bouda from 1975 is a little south.

Through the approximately 4.5 kilometers long, wooded Kerbtal valley of the young Elbe , which extends from west-north-west to east-south-east, a blue-marked hiking trail runs initially south and later north . South of the Elbgrund are the so-called Elbgruben .
