Clarence George "Lal" Hilditch (born June 2, 1894 in Hartford , † October 31, 1977 ) - also known as Clarrie Hilditch - was an English football player and coach .

Career

He was mostly used by coach John Chapman in the position of the right outer runner and briefly took over his office in 1926. His first positions as a player were Hartford FC, Witton Albion and Altrincham FC . Hilditch played between August 30, 1919 and January 30, 1932 a total of 322 times for ManU and scored seven goals. The Englishman ended his career in 1932; significant title wins with Manchester United were not granted to him during his career.
