In other facilities, wellness offers or saunas are offered. A total of around 15,000 holiday homes and apartments are on offer. Eight of the parks also have campsites and mobile homes. Landal has around 1,300 camping and parking spaces here. Landal records around 2.8 million guests with around 14.5 million overnight stays every year. The average length of stay of guests is 5.5 nights. Landal has a total of over 3,000 employees. The gross annual turnover is around 470 million euros.

history

The history of Landal GreenParks goes back to 1954 when the Dutch company Nillmij acquired the Rabbit Hill holiday park. Originally intended to be available to employees as a holiday destination, the holiday homes were soon successfully rented out to third parties. Nillmij, later renamed Aegon Recreatie Holding BV, then bought and built other parks in the Netherlands. The first park in Germany was added in 1965.

In 1996 the company was transferred to a group of investors led by the Dutch Indofin Group and the British Charterhouse Development Capital PLC, which continued the business under the name Landal GreenParks. In 2001 Landal GreenParks expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of the Groningen-based company Beheer und Projecten BV by 34 Gran Dorado holiday parks. The 31 Dutch and three Belgian sites consisted of a total of 4,500 holiday homes. Beheer und Projecten BV was responsible for the management and marketing of the accommodations, which are mostly privately owned.

In 2004 the Cendant Corporation took over the shares of Charterhouse and Indofin. Since then, Landal GreenParks has expanded every year to include several holiday parks in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. When the Cendant Corporation split into two parts in July 2006, Landal GreenParks became part of the holding company Wyndham Worldwide , which specializes in the hotel and holiday home sectors. Landal GreenParks are headquartered in Leidschendam (Netherlands) and Trier (Germany).
