The state college for health professions "Claudiana" is located in Bolzano in South Tyrol . The Claudiana was named after Claudia de 'Medici , Archduchess of Austria and Princess of Tyrol in the 17th century. The university was founded in 1993 on the basis of the state law of October 26, 1993 No. 18 “Approval for the establishment of a state college for health professions for the training of nurses, midwives and other specialists in technical medicine and rehabilitation” . The Claudiana is taught in the official languages ​​of South Tyrol, i.e. in German and Italian .

Seat

Initially, the Claudiana was located in three different buildings, but in 2006 it was moved to a building in the immediate vicinity of the Bolzano Central Hospital .

Education

A bachelor's degree at Claudiana takes about 3 years (6 semesters) and 180 ECTS are required. The master's program can only graduates of degree programs in health care make. This requires another year and a half (3 semesters) and 60 ECTS more.
