Lang & Heyne is a watch manufacturer in Radeberg , in the listed Ullersdorfer Mühle, also Todenmühle, in the Ullersdorf district . According to the legal notice, however, Dresden is given as the company's headquarters . With its own factories, it produces clocks in the style of the Saxon clockmaking trade from the 18th and 19th centuries.

history

Lang & Heyne was founded in 2001 by master watchmaker Marco Lang (* 1971) and apprentice Mirko Heyne. Heyne left the company in 2002, but the name Lang & Heyne was retained. In the meantime, the manufacturer had presented the two wristwatch models “Friedrich August” and “Johann” at Baselworld and started selling them. Lang & Heyne has been part of Tempus Arte GmbH & Co. KG since 2013. The Leinfelder Uhren from Munich and Uhren-Werke-Dresden (UWD) are also united under this roof. UWD and LANG & HEYNE have shared a manufacturing building since 2018.

Marco Lang has been a member of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI), the academy of independent, creative watchmakers , since 2005 . He left the company in 2019.

philosophy

The manufactory produces watches by hand, always based on the pocket watches of the 18th and 19th centuries. The shell components are already manufactured in our own CNC area and finished by hand, using traditional Saxon manufacturing methods. Special features are three lugs, blue screws finished on all sides, handcrafted hands, a rose gold gear train, Breguet hairspring, gold chatons, enamel dials and Mustache anchors.
