Langerhans Canal

The Langerhans Canal (LhK) is located in the state of Brandenburg east of Berlin and is a 1300 m long branch canal including the Kriensee at the eastern end.

It belongs to the 11 km long federal waterway Rüdersdorfer Gewässer (RüG) of waterway class III; The Berlin Waterways and Shipping Office is responsible . These waters connect the Dämeritzsee in Erkner with at Hennickendorf lying Stienitzsee . The branch canal connects directly with the industrial area of Hafen Rüdersdorf .

The canal was named after Berlin's city planner Friedrich Wilhelm Langerhans (1780–1851).
