Larry Dias is a production designer .

Life

Dias began his career in 1989 as a prop master for the short-lived television show Just Say Julie . After several television productions as a set designer, he had his first film engagement in 1995 in the film romance while you were sleeping with Sandra Bullock . After major feature films such as America's Sweethearts , he worked on an international blockbuster with Pirates of the Caribbean in 2003 ; This was followed by Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull .

For Christopher Nolan's Inception he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design together with Guy Hendrix Dyas and Doug Mowat in 2011 . On the other hand , they won the BAFTA Film Award in the Best Production Design category for Inception . Between 2009 and 2014 Dias was nominated three times for the Excellence in Production Design Award of the Art Directors Guild , whereby he won the award once; also in 2011 for Inception .

Between 2012 and 2015, Dias worked on all four films in the film series The Hunger Games .
