Lars Åke Svensson (born June 30, 1926 in Stockholm , † June 25, 1999 there ) was a Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Lars Svensson began his career as an ice hockey player at UoIF Matteuspojkarna , for whose professional team he was active from 1947 to 1952 in Division 1 , which was then the highest Swedish league. He then spent three years with his league rivals AIK Solna , before running up for Hammarby IF in the 1955/56 season. He then ended his career at the age of 30.

International

For Sweden Svensson took part in the Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952 and in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1956 . At the 1952 Winter Olympics, he and his team won the bronze medal. As the best European team, Sweden also became European champions.
