Lauren Katherine Conrad (born February 1, 1986 in Laguna Beach , California ), also known as LC , is an American reality TV actress and fashion designer . She became known for her roles in the reality TV series Laguna Beach - The Real Orange County and The Hills on MTV .

biography

Conrad is the daughter of Jim and Katherine Conrad. She has a sister, Breanna, three years her junior, who starred in the third season of Laguna Beach - The Real Orange County , and a brother named Brandon, six years her junior.

After graduating from Laguna Beach High School , she went to San Francisco to study fashion design at the Academy of Art University . After just one semester, she dropped out of her studies and returned to Laguna Beach. In 2005 she moved to Los Angeles and studied at the Fashion Institute for Design and Merchandising .

In February 2004, during her senior year of Laguna Beach High School , MTV began filming the lives of seven other teenagers on the series Laguna Beach - The Real Orange County , after being told by Adam DiVello (producer at MTV , who also in The City , since 2007 owner of his own production company - DoneAndDone) was approached in the school car park. After the first season, the actors received acting offers. Lauren Conrad, who discovered after taking acting classes that she wasn't good enough for it, decided to study at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising . MTV decided on a new reality TV series, The Hills , with Lauren Conrad as the main character. At the 2006 award ceremony, she won against her competitor Kristin Cavallari from the previous series Laguna Beach .

During the series, Lauren Conrad brought out her own fashion collection, which was sold in over 500 boutiques in the United States. In addition, she appeared in advertisements for Mark cosmetics and AT&T . The Forbes magazine estimated her income in 2007 and 2008 to $ 1.5 million.

In June 2009, Lauren Conrad published her first book, LA Candy . It's about 19-year-old Jane Robert, who became famous on a reality TV show. Conrad was also featured in an episode of the animated series Family Guy .

She has been married to the American musician William Tell since 2014. They have been the parents of a son since July 5, 2017.
