Laurier is a census-designated place in Ferry County in the US state of Washington on the border between Canada and the United States . The closest school district is the Orient School District . According to the 2010 United States Census , Laurier had a resident.

Laurier is named after Sir Wilfrid Laurier , Prime Minister of Canada from 1896 to 1911. The US General Services Administration lists three buildings in Laurier - a border guard and two adjoining apartment buildings - all built in 1936. the US Route 395 passes through Laurier north to the border where they to British Columbia Highway 395 is. The Avey Field State Airport is located in Laurier; the runway crosses the British Columbia border .
