Lazar Felix Pinkus

Lazar Felix Pinkus (born August 13, 1881 in Breslau ; died February 12, 1947 in Zurich ) was a German - Swiss journalist , writer and banker .

Life

Pinkus studied natural sciences and economics at the Universities of Breslau , Berlin and Bern . In 1904 he received his doctorate from the University of Bern with a thesis on economic history . He then worked as a journalist, first in Berlin , then in Hamburg and finally in Zurich. Among other things, he was editor-in-chief of the Europäische Wirtschafts-Zeitung . He also worked as a banker (Felix Pinkus & Cie.). In 1927 he fled to Albania after his bank went bankrupt.

Lazar Felix Pinkus was married to the actress Else Flatau; Theo Pinkus and Mirjam Pinkus were children of this marriage .
