Lena Hoschek
Magdalena "Lena" Hoschek (born April 23, 1981 in Graz ; since her civil wedding Magdalena Hoschek-Frajuk ) is an Austrian fashion designer.
Life
Lena Hoschek attended the Catholic private school Sacré Coeur Graz from kindergarten to high school . After graduating from high school , she completed her diploma in fashion design at the Vienna Fashion School in Schloss Hetzendorf . After finishing school, she did an 8-month internship with Vivienne Westwood in London in 2003/2004 , which inspired her to open her own studio in Graz in 2005 . In 2008 further stores opened in Vienna and in 2010 in Berlin- Mitte. However, the Berlin location was closed on July 30, 2016.
Hoschek presents its collections at the Berlin Fashion Week, among others . It employs 15 people in Graz, Vienna and Berlin.
Fashion & style
Hoschek brings two collections onto the market each year, which include dresses, skirts, blouses, trousers, traditional costumes, pajamas, glasses and other accessories. The style of the pin-up girls and the dirndl are the focus of their design. A collection for children was also created.
In 2009 the eyewear collection "Lena Hoschek by Robert la Roche" was created as part of a cooperation with Robert La Roche .
Her style models are various Hollywood stars of the 40s and 50s, whose style she embodies herself. In an interview with austrianfashion.net, Hoschek explained: “I like women who go through life with a sense of humor, which is why I am so into the sex symbols of the 50s. While today's people usually take themselves incredibly seriously, it was different with Marilyn Monroe , Gina Lollobrigida or Sophia Loren . Having a sense of humor and being able to laugh at yourself - that's sexy for me. ”Stars like Katy Perry and Charlotte Roche are among her clientele.
