Leo Valeriano

Leo Valeriano (actually Leo Di Giannantonio ; born January 10, 1938 in Rome ) is an Italian singer-songwriter , actor and voice actor .

Life

Valeriano, whose family comes from Abruzzo, was one of the songwriters from the mid-1960s who processed and expressed right-wing political positions in their works. After working in Germany, Valeriano took part in the “Festa degli Sconosciuti” in 1965 with the song Nella valigia . He then performed many times in the Roman variety theater Il Bagaglino . In 1966 Valeriano's first single was released; in the same year he opened the cabaret "Il Cormorano" with Pippo Franco and Tony Santagata . Further cabaret participations in Rome and Naples followed, including the pioneering "Giardino dei Supplizi", which was only active for a few years. He was also seen, especially from 1972 to 1977, as an actor in small roles in comedies and other films. His dubbing work was characterized by many engagements for cartoon series.

In 1997 Valeriano published the book “Un disco da leggere”.
