Love on Probation is a German television series from 1992 by Felix Huby . Wilfried Dotzel directed all seven episodes . The main roles are cast with Sascha Hehn and Gila von Weitershausen .

Peter Brocker, who was innocent in prison, now runs a small car workshop. Sabine Ingwersen is a public prosecutor and put Peter behind bars as a prosecutor. She belongs to a long-established, respected Hamburg family, and her friends also come from the upper class. Peter, on the other hand, comes from a simple background, has friends in the rocker scene and sees his chance to get ahead in trying his hand at racing.

At first, Peter and Sabine can't stand each other, at first they have little in common, except perhaps their shared passion for motorcycling. Problems are preprogrammed insofar as Peter does not feel particularly comfortable in the presence of Sabine's fine friends and, on the other hand, Sabine has a hard time with Peter's rocker friends. Another problem is Peter's current girlfriend Jeannette, who watches them suspiciously. In addition, Peter's best friend Jerry is a member of a gang Sabine must investigate, and there is also trouble with a new employee in Peter's workshop.

When Sabine and Peter go on vacation separately, they realize that despite all the difficulties they can no longer and do not want to be without each other. Peter therefore breaks off his vacation in Tyrol and flies to Sabine, who is on the island of Mallorca . Happy to be together, they decide to give each other a try.
