Liebherr welding bead SR 714 LGP
The Liebherr SR 714 LGP welding crawler is a crawler tractor with low ground pressure for welding work when laying pipelines .
Technical specifications
The Liebherr SR 714 LGP welding crawler is constructed similarly to the Liebherr PR 714 bulldozer. It was developed by Maats Pipeline Equipment, the worldwide exclusive agent for Liebherr pipe welding machines. It has a John Deere 6068H diesel engine with 86 kW (117 hp). The crawler chassis, designed for low ground pressure, consists of 42 single-grouser shoes, each 760 mm wide. The welding caterpillars built in 2012 had an operating weight of 20.3 t.
Sweat tent
The MIG / MAG welding power sources and other equipment are housed in the roof structure of the welding tent (see middle photo, which can be enlarged by clicking). The welding tent is suspended from a HIAB -XS crane. It prevents the shielding gas from being blown away by the wind during welding. It also offers welders some protection from the elements while they work.
