Linda Jap Tjoen San (born September 1, 1977 in the Netherlands ) is a Dutch chess player .

Life

Her mother is Dutch and her father is from Suriname . She is married to the international master Edwin van Haastert .

successes

In 1991 she won (split) the Dutch U14 individual championship for women, and in 1993 in Nijmegen the Dutch U-16 individual championship for women. In 1995 she won the Faber Cup in Magdeburg with the Dutch junior national team (U20) . At a tournament as part of the Hoogovens Open 1997 in Wijk aan Zee , she managed to win against Dawid Bronstein , who at that time had not actively participated in the tournament for a few years. At the Dutch women's individual championship in 1998 in Rheden , she finished third. With the Dutch women's national team she took part in two chess Olympiads as reserve player: 1998 in Elista and 2000 in Istanbul . In March 2005 she won the Dutch women's championship in rapid chess in Alphen aan den Rijn . She won the Dutch women's championship in blitz chess in 2005 and 2007.

She played club chess in Germany from 1998 to 2000 for White Lady Borbeck in the 2nd Women's Bundesliga West. In the Netherlands she plays for LSG (Leidsch Schaakgenootschap) from Leiden , where she also played in the Meester class , the highest Dutch division, in the 2010/11 season . When European Club Cup for women in 2015 in Skopje , she played for Stukkenjagers Tilburg , the European Club Cup in 2018 in the open group in Porto Carras for suffering .

She has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) since November 2000. She achieved a norm for this title, for example, in 1998 at the Lost Boys Open in Antwerp .
