Lindsay Sparkes is a Canadian curler and Olympic champion .
Sparkes made her international debut at the 1979 World Cup in Perth , where she won the bronze medal. At the 1985 World Cup , she became the curling world champion in Jönköping, Sweden .
Sparkes played as the third of the Canadian team in the XV. 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics in curling. Skip Linda Moore's team won the Olympic gold medal after a 7-5 win in the final against Sweden around Skip Elisabeth Högström . Since curling was still a demonstration sport at that time, the medal has no official status.
