The small village of Linsingen has been part of the municipality of Frielendorf in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse since December 31, 1971 .

The cluster village is located southwest of the main town in the Frielendorfer hill country. The Grom Bach rises at the eastern end of the village .

history

The place is first mentioned in 1230. in 1241 the lords of Linsingen are named here as the landlords.

The Protestant church was built in 1933/34 by the Marburg architect Karl Rumpf in place of the previous building, a half-timbered church from 1780, and to this day mostly shows the furnishings and fittings from the time of construction. a. a window by the Marburg glass painter Erhardt Klonk.

On December 31, 1971, the site was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse in the congregation Frielendorf incorporated .
