Liselotte Closer

Liselotte Susanne Schlosser (born December 1, 1918 in Dresden ; † May 20, 2004 in Radebeul ) was a German local researcher and archivist .

Life

Closer, who was born in Dresden, worked at the post office after attending secondary school and from 1949 at the Planeta Polygraph printing machine plant in Radebeul. There she was responsible for the machine documentation as a partial designer.

She was actively involved in the Radebeul amateur film club of the Kulturbund , where she won several awards for her films.

From 1981 to 1991 she was responsible for the Radebeul city archive . In 1985 she founded the local history interest group at the Kulturbund, which she headed until her death in 2004. From 1990 onwards, closer regularly published local history articles in the magazine Preview and Retrospect and wrote several books on local history topics of the Lößnitz . She also worked actively in the non-profit association for monument preservation and new building in Radebeul .

On the occasion of the 80th birthday of the “walking Radebeul lexicon” in 1998, the city of Radebeul awarded her a certificate of honor “in recognition of outstanding achievements in researching and presenting the history of the city of Radebeul”.

Liselotte Schlosser is buried in the Moritzburg cemetery.
