Liss Eriksson (born August 31, 1919 in Stockholm , Sweden ; † July 19, 2000 , ibid) was a Swedish sculptor and illustrator.

life and work

Liss Eriksson is a son of the sculptor Christian Eriksson (1858–1935) and grew up in Prästgårdsgata in Södermalm , where he opened his studio in 1975. He studied from 1939 to 1944 with Nils Sjögren and Eric Grate at the Kungliga Konsthögskolan Mejan in Stockholm. In 1947 he took part in the avant-garde exhibition Ung Konst (Jonge Art) in the Färg och gallery with others such as Arne Jones . He lived with his wife, the artist Britta Reich-Eriksson, in Paris from 1947 to 1951 , where he received lessons from the French sculptors Jean Osouf and Henri Laurens .
