List of Abbots of the Laach Monastery
The list of abbots of the Laach Monastery contains the 49 abbots of today's Benedictine Abbey of Maria Laach . 41 of the abbots (two died before the abbot) exercised this office during the first settlement from 1138 to 1802 in the "Kloster Laach" ( Abbatia Lacensis (Fig. Ad Lacum) ), eight abbots since the resettlement since 1893. Those from 1863 to 1892 Jesuits resident there coined the name "Maria Laach" ( Abbatia Mariae Lacensis / Abbatia Mariae ad Lacum ).
