The list of stumbling blocks in Wittichenau contains all the stumbling blocks that were laid by Gunter Demnig in Wittichenau as part of the art project of the same name . They are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who lived and worked in Wittichenau.

Hersch Hentschel Hermann Neufeld was born on January 1, 1893 in Solotyj Potik in the Rajon Butschatsch (Buczacz) in Galicia .
His wife Zipora Neufeld, b. Vice, was born on May 3, 1884 in Horodenka . The couple had 3 daughters. Rosa Rosel was the first to be born on January 29, 1919 in Mlynica, Slovakia ; Klara Czarna was born on April 1, 1921 and Rut on January 15, 1925 in Horodenka. The Jewish family, who came from Poland, lived as a small textile merchant in Wittichenau until 1938. The whole family was deported to Poland on October 28, 1938 as part of the so-called "Poland Action" and finally deported to the Lemberg Ghetto (Lwow). The father was murdered in the Lviv ghetto; Mother and daughters were gassed in the Belzec extermination camp . |
