The list of international airports in Poland includes the main airports in Poland .
The IATA code, ICAO code, the height above sea level in meters, the year of opening, the classification, the use, the number and type of runways, the number of passengers for the Year 2006 including comparison with the previous year in percent, the weight of the freight in tons for the year 2005 and the flight movements for the year 2006.
Explanation
- Name of the airport: Provides the name of the airport and any additional names.
- IATA code: The code consists of a combination of three Latin letters and is used to clearly identify the individual commercial airports. The IATA code is issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
- ICAO code: The ICAO code is issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization and consists of a unique combination of four Latin letters. Here EP stands for Poland.
- Height in m: Indicates the height above sea level of the airport.
- Opening: states the year in which the airport was opened.
- Operator: Names the operator of the respective airport.
- Type : Classification = differentiation into regional (marked with REG) and international airports (INT).
- Use: Indicates what the airport is used for. This can be: civil (marked with Z), military (M) or general aviation (AL).
- R: R stands for runway . Provides the number of runways at the airport. These can consist of asphalt (marked with A ), concrete ( B ) or grass ( G ).
- Passengers: Indicates the total number of passengers at the airport in 2007. The number in brackets indicates the percentage by which the number of passengers has increased or decreased compared to the previous year.
- Freight in t (tons): Indicates the total freight transported at the airport in tons for the year 2005.
- Flight movements: Indicates the total flight movements of the airport for the year 2007.
