Louis Heinrich Buddeberg
Louis Heinrich Buddeberg (born December 12, 1836 in Lippstadt , † March 8, 1925 in Zittau ) was a businessman and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Buddeberg attended the secondary school in Lippstadt. From 1852 to the end of 1856 he was active in trading businesses in Le Havre and Paris . From 1861 to 1885 he then ran a wholesale dye store in Zittau. From 1865 to 1892 he was active in municipal honorary offices, including from 1888 to 1892 mayor of the city council. Buddeberg was a co-founder of the general gymnastics club in 1861 and the first commandant of the gymnastics fire brigade founded in 1862 .
From 1881 to 1898 and from 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Saxony 1 (Zittau). He stood successively for the German Progressive Party (until 1884), the German Liberal Party (until 1893) and the Liberal People's Party .
The city of Zittau made Buddeberg an honorary citizen in 1908 .
