Love is a song from the soundtrack to the Disney film Robin Hood . It was written by Floyd Huddleston (lyrics) and George Bruns (music).

In the film, the song is performed by Maid Marian when she meets Robin Hood in the forest and the two of them walk to a lake. Then the two hike through a waterfall to their camp. In the US Version, Maid Marian is voiced by Monica Evans . Nancy Adams , Floyd Huddleston's wife, took over the vocals instead .

The song was at the Oscar ceremony in 1974 as Best Song nomination, but lost to The Way We Were by Alan Bergman , Marilyn Bergman and Marvin Hamlisch , sung by Barbra Streisand in the movie The Way We Were .

The song also appeared on the film's soundtrack, which was released in 1973 under the title Story and Songs from Robin Hood .

As is usual with Disney films, the song was translated into different languages ​​and sung by other singers.

In 1974 Louis Prima released a version on the album Let's "Hear" It for Robin Hood .
