Ludo Coeck (born September 25, 1955 in Berchem , Antwerp , † October 9, 1985 in Rumst , Antwerp) was a Belgian football player who mainly acted on the left wing or in the center of midfield . His clubs included Berchem Sport , RSC Anderlecht and Inter Milan . He made 46 appearances for Belgium .

Coeck was a member of the Belgian team at the 1982 World Cup , where he played in all five games in his country and scored a goal with a long-range free-kick against El Salvador . He was also a member of the team at the 1984 European Football Championship , where he appeared as a substitute in the defeats against France and Denmark .

On October 9, 1985, Coeck was killed when his BMW crashed into the guard rails near the Belgian town of Rumst while he was on his way to sign with Lierse SK .
