Ludwig Hollweck

Ludwig Hollweck (born July 26, 1915 in Munich ; † April 5, 1990 ibid.) Was a German archivist and historian who made outstanding contributions to the Monacensia and Munich's local history.

Life

After finishing high school in Munich, Hollweck became a trainee lawyer at the Munich City Library. In World War II, labor and military service. In 1954 he was appointed head of the Monacensia collection by the founder Hans Ludwig Held . His great knowledge of Munich's history has resulted in numerous publications about his hometown since the 1960s. His estate is still unprocessed in the Monacensia.
