Ludwig Pfeil (born November 26, 1920 in Siershahn , † October 21, 1994 in Dernbach (Westerwald) ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

From 1927 to 1935, Pfeil attended the Siershahn elementary school, in 1938 he graduated from the state ceramic technical college in Höhr-Grenzhausen , before doing military service from 1939 to 1945 (most recently as a non-commissioned officer). Since 1938 he has been working for the Keramchemie company in Siershahn. There he became laboratory manager in 1949, production / operations manager in 1966 and was a member of the works council from 1947 to 1964.

Union activity

Until the ban after the seizure of power by the Nazis he was a member of the Catholic Youth Association Men Germany, 1947, he was a union member, first in the DGB and since 1960 in the CGB . In 1961 he became the regional cartel chairman of the CGB and in 1960 the first federal spokesman for the Christian Social College.

1947 member of the CDU. There he became district chairman of the CDU in 1959 and a member of the CDU state committee for Rhineland-Palatinate in 1962. In terms of local politics, he was a member of the district council from 1948 and of the district committee in 1950.

He was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from May 18, 1963 to December 15, 1974 in the 5th to 7th electoral term. In the 5th electoral term he was a member of the Social Policy Committee, the Economic and Transport Committee and the Special Committee for Administrative Reform. In the other terms he was a member of the Committee on Economics and Transport.

In 1969 he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .
