The Lufthansa Systems GmbH & Co. KG (short LSY ), headquartered in Raunheim is an IT services company in the aviation industry , which as a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and third parties is active both for Lufthansa.

Lufthansa Systems GmbH & Co. KG emerged on April 1, 2015 as one of three independent companies from the former Lufthansa Systems AG .

In 1995 the IT department of Lufthansa was spun off and incorporated into the newly founded subsidiary Lufthansa Systems AG .

The company with around 2,400 employees has several locations in Germany and 16 other countries. The company's software products cover the business processes of airlines and range from the passenger and cargo sector to flight operations to aircraft maintenance and repair. In addition to around 330 airlines, its customers include companies from industry, transport and logistics, energy, media and publishing, tourism and healthcare. As a system integrator , Lufthansa Systems covers a wide range of IT services - from advice to application development and implementation to 24-hour operation. Lufthansa Systems supports companies in optimizing their processes and IT landscapes so that they become more efficient. One focus is the introduction and expansion of SAP solutions, which require extensive industry and process know-how. The certified SAP partner covers the entire spectrum from conception and adaptation, through implementation and consolidation, to maintenance of SAP systems. Another focus of the product range is the BoardConnect in-flight entertainment system, which enables passengers to connect to an on-board server and from which content such as films, music, etc. can be accessed via WLAN .

In 2013 Lufthansa Systems AG achieved an annual turnover of 640 million euros with around 2,700 employees worldwide, of which 265 million euros outside the Lufthansa Group.

On April 1, 2015, Lufthansa Systems AG was transferred to the three independent companies Lufthansa Systems GmbH & Co. KG, Lufthansa Industry Solutions GmbH & Co. KG and Infrastructure Services GmbH & Co. KG, which was sold to IBM .

In November 2017, Lufthansa Systems GmbH & Co. KG began moving to a newly built headquarters in the Airport Garden industrial park in Raunheim near Frankfurt Airport .
