Luise Kräuter (born February 3, 1891 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † December 21, 1937 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Luise Kräuter was born as the daughter of the file cutter Ernst Kräuter . She attended elementary school and then the higher girls' citizenship school in Freiburg. Between 1912 and 1914 she trained as a saleswoman. In this context she came into contact with an association for the first time, becoming a member and secretary of the Association of Clerks in Freiburg. From 1914 to 1919 she was the branch manager and managing director of the “Freiburg needs and productive association”.

She had obviously taken over her political interests from her father. From 1905 to 1912 he was a member of the state parliament of the SPD in Baden . In 1919 Luise Kräuter was elected to the Baden state parliament herself . She only belonged to this until 1921. Why she only gave such a short parliamentary guest appearance is unclear. It may have had something to do with her subsequent marriage to a Freiburg innkeeper. She died in Freiburg when she was only 46 years old.
