Mills (Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate)
Mühlen is a district of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate on the northeastern outskirts. Until the municipal area reform , which came into force on July 1, 1972, Mühlen was an independent municipality.
19 places belonged to the former municipality: Ischhofen , Altenhof , Auhof , Beckenmühle , Blomenhof , Bodenhof , Bodenmühle , Eichenmühle , Friedlmühle , Guglhof , Habersmühle , Iberlsmühle , Kohlenbrunnermühle , Koppenmühle , Rödelberg , Schleifmühle , Schmermühle , Schönmühle and Ungenricht . The community name was derived from the local water mills - eleven of 19 place names end in "-Mühle". All places of the former municipality of Mühlen are today in the Mühlen district of the large district town of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate.
