The mill gate in Pasewalk is one of the two surviving of the four former gates of the fortifications that surrounded the city. The Gothic two-story brick gate from the middle of the 15th century was built on a fieldstone base and secured the road to Strasburg .

City side

The gate has a 3.5 meter high ogival passage. It is 25.1 meters high and almost square with a base of 8.5 meters by 9 meters. A special feature is the octagonal gate attachment with a solid pointed helmet . The gate is adorned by a series of narrow, ogival panels. The formerly existing battlements on the substructure and tower top are no longer present.
