MBCGame

MBC Game ( Hangul : MBC 게임, 엠비씨 게임) was a South Korean television station and also organizer and rapporteur of e-sports - competitions . The television station was a subsidiary of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation , which operates one of the four largest television and radio networks in South Korea. Broadcasting was discontinued at the beginning of 2012.

MBCGame broadcast the Proleague together with OnGameNet and also organized the in-house MBCGame StarLeague, both for the computer game StarCraft . The TV station also used to host the MBCGame International League (MIL) in Counter-Strike and Warcraft III . This was also the South Korean qualification for the Electronic Sports World Cup . In addition to these leagues, there were also competitions in FIFA , Winning Eleven , Dead or Alive 4 , and Age of Empires 3 .

MBCGame StarCraft League

The MBCGame StarCraft League (MSL) was one of the most important StarCraft leagues in South Korea , along with the OnGameNet Starleague and the joint Proleague . The league consisted of a group stage with 32 participants and subsequent playoffs. The prize money per edition was most recently 116 million won (approximately $ 100,000).
