Madeleine Egle (born August 21, 1998 in Hall in Tirol ) is an Austrian luge athlete .

Life

Egle began tobogganing in 2007 and has been participating in the Luge World Cup since the 2015/16 season . She won a bronze medal at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer . In the Viessmann World Cup Women’s Cup 2017/2018, she came third.

Madeleine Egle celebrated her greatest success at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang . In the single-seater, she came ninth, while she took third place in the team relay with David Gleirscher , Peter Penz and Georg Fischler and won bronze.

She is an army athlete and starts for SV Rinn in Tyrol.

Egle is the great niece of Luge Luge Angelika Schafferer .
