Mandy Moore (* 10. April 1984 in Nashua , New Hampshire as Amanda Leigh Moore ) is an American pop singer and actress . She grew up in Orlando ( Florida on).

Her first single Candy from the album So Real (1999) was released when Mandy Moore was only 15 years old. So Real was re-released in 2000 under the title I Wanna Be with You with partly different pieces, it contained among other things the hits Walk Me Home and I Wanna Be with You .

In 2001 her album Mandy Moore (2001) was released, of the tracks it contained, In My Pocket , Crush and Cry were later released as a single.

Shortly after its release, Mandy Moore played her first lead role in the 2002 movie Nur mit dir . The film is based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks .

After another film role in How to Deal (2003), Mandy Moore turned back to music and released her third album called Coverage (2003). This album consists entirely of cover versions of old songs that she was impressed with in her childhood or that she had recently discovered. The first single from the album was Have a Little Faith in Me (Original by John Hiatt from the 1987 album Bring the Family ).

In 2005, Moore starred in several episodes of Entourage . In 2006, she starred in the fifth season of the doctor's television series Scrubs in episodes 9 and 10 as JD's clumsy friend Julie Quinn. As a result, she was briefly in real life with JD's actor Zach Braff .

She also had a guest appearance on the third season of the series How I Met Your Mother . In 2010 she played the recurring guest role of Mary Portman in the series Grey's Anatomy .

On March 10, 2009, Moore married singer and songwriter Ryan Adams after a month of engagement. In January 2015, the two announced their separation. Moore has been married to Dawes musician Taylor Goldsmith since November 2018.

On March 25, 2019, she was honored with the 2,658th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame .
