Manfred Gebhardt

Manfred Gebhardt (born January 6, 1927 in Ziegelrode , Mansfelder Gebirgskreis ; † July 17, 2013 in Naumburg ) was a German journalist and author .

Live and act

Manfred Gebhardt was taken prisoner in Poland as a soldier in World War II and was released to the German Democratic Republic in 1949 . From 1950 he worked as a journalist for the Junge Welt and the Berliner Zeitung . From 1959 to 1962 he was the editor-in-chief of the magazine The Voice . From 1962 to 1979 he was deputy editor-in-chief and from 1979 to 1991 editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine Das Magazin .
