Manfred Morgan

Manfred Morgan , real name Rudi Edelmann (born November 18, 1948 in Stuttgart ; † June 17, 2015 ), was a German pop singer , composer , lyricist and guitarist .

Life

Manfred Morgan grew up in Stuttgart. After graduating, he became a teacher . He showed his musical talent first as a member of the backing band of the pop singer Erik Silvester . In the early 1970s, he made a name for himself as a pop singer. His biggest hit was in 1971. First came the sun . This hit was republished twenty years later by his namesake Michael Morgan .

Manfred Morgan had a few more hits until the mid-1970s, then things calmed down around him. He was then mainly active as a composer and lyricist.

He also wrote the musical soap bubbles , which enjoyed great regional success.

After his successful time as a pop singer, he worked as a primary school teacher in Freudental near Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart until his early retirement.

Manfred Morgan died in June 2015 at the age of 66 after a serious illness. His final resting place is in the cemetery in Großsachsenheim .
