Marais-Vernier is a municipality with 508 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in Normandy (before 2016 Haute-Normandie ) in France . It belongs to the Eure department , the Bernay arrondissement and the Bourg-Achard canton ( Quillebeuf-sur-Seine until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Maraiquais .

Marais-Vernier is located about 21 kilometers east-southeast of Le Havre on the Seine , which borders the municipality in the north. Marais-Vernier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tancarville in the north, Quillebeuf-sur-Seine in the northeast, Saint-Aubin-sur-Quillebeuf in the east, Bouquelon in the south and southeast, Saint-Samson-de-la-Roque in the west and southwest as well La Cerlangue in the northwest.

The A131 autoroute and the national route 182 cross the Seine through the municipality .
