Marco Roßdeutscher (born July 14, 1965 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR Football Association . There he played for 1. FC Union Berlin .

Athletic career

In 1971 Roßdeutscher was accepted into the children's team of the East Berlin company sports association (BSG) Motor Köpenick . In 1975 the BSG delegated him to 1. FC Union Berlin, where he went through the other age groups up to the juniors. In the 1984/85 season he played for the 2nd men's team in the third-rate district league . For the season 1985/86 he was nominated as a defender for the league team of 1. FC Union, but had to wait until the 20th matchday for his first league assignment. In the encounter between Union Berlin and Stahl Riesa (1: 1) on April 5, 1986, he was substituted on in the 40th minute. Then he came to the end of the season in all other league league games from the start as a midfielder. This season, 1. FC Union reached the final of the GDR soccer cup . Roßdeutscher, who had previously been used in two of the previous eight cup games, was substituted on in the encounter on May 31, 1986 Union Berlin - 1. FC Lok Leipzig in the 56th minute.
