Mariaweiler-Hoven consists of the two places Mariaweiler and Hoven , which are northwest of the Düren core city and are about 600 meters apart. Today, both places each form a district of Düren.
history
Since the 19th century, Mariaweiler-Hoven formed a rural community in the mayor's office Merken (from 1928 Amt Merken ) in the district of Düren. On January 1, 1972, the municipality was incorporated into the city of Düren by the Aachen Act .
