Marie-Christine Barrault (born March 21, 1944 in Paris ) is a French actress .

She made her film debut in 1969 in Éric Rohmer's My Night at Maud , and celebrated her breakthrough in 1975 with the Oscar- winning cousin, cousin, for best foreign-language film . In 1983 she was the jury president of the World Film Festival . She is the niece of the actor Jean-Louis Barrault . Her first marriage was to Daniel Toscan du Plantier . With him she has the children David and Ariane. She was married to Roger Vadim from 1990 until his death in 2000 .
