Marikke Heinz-Hoek
Marikke Heinz-Hoek (* 1944 in Homberg ) is a German painter and installation and video artist .
Live and act
Marikke Heinz-Hoek grew up in Weener . After an apprenticeship as a dressmaker , she studied at the State Art School in Bremen from 1963 to 1967 and passed her exam in 1967. She then worked as an art teacher in Delmenhorst until 1974 .
Marikke Heinz-Hoek works as a freelance artist. Her main themes are "Memories" and "Legends" . Since 2003 she has curated her own projects on the subject of new media , and from 2005 to 2010 also the annual exhibitions for the Bremen Video Art Prize . In 1997, 1998 and 1999 she had lectureships at the Faculty of Cultural Studies (Video Art) at the University of Bremen . She gave guest lectures at the University of Bremen (2006), at the University of Bremen (2006 to 2013) and at the University of the Arts Berlin (2007).
Marikke Heinz-Hoek is a member of the German Association of Artists . She lives and works in Bremen and Jemgum .
