life and work

Mario Titi comes from the city of Frascati. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and later joined the movement of futurism . He is considered a student of "Tato" (Guglielmo Sansoni) and later of Pippo Rizzo.

Mario Titi is considered a painter of the artistic scene in Rome and Castelli Romanis . His works can be found in churches and museums in Lazio and in private collections around the world. In personal  vernissages  in Rome, Naples and exhibitions in Frascati, he showed works that were created with the Colata technique , a drip and pouring technique. Titi quickly established himself as the leading representative of Colata. This was followed by exhibitions in Paris, New York, Monaco, Milan and Madrid.

In the 1970s he produced a cycle of 120 colates that were inspired by Dante's Divine Comedy . The three cycles of 40 images each, Inferno (Hell), Purgatorio (Purgatory) and Paradiso (Paradise) correspond to the three parts of the Commedia .
