Maripeae is a tribe from the family of wind plants (Convolvulaceae). Three genera are counted to it, the type genus is Maripa .
description
Representatives of the Maripeae tribe are woody lianas . The base of the leaf blades is not heart-shaped. The flowers are radially symmetrical and hermaphroditic. The sepals are of the same shape and do not enlarge after the flowering period. The stamens are flattened and hairy. The pollen grains are tricolated and not prickly. The stylus are partially or completely split from one another, only with individual representatives are they also completely fused together. The fruits are not leaping, woody berries .
Occurrence
The genera of the tribe Maripeae occur in Central and South America .

The following genera belong to the tribe Maripeae:
- Dicranostyles Benth. : With about 15 species

Lysiostyles Benth. : With only one type:
- Lysiostyles scandens Benth. ; it occurs in South America
- Maripa Aubl. : With about 19 species.
According to the cladistic definition, the tribe corresponds to the most comprehensive clade, in the Maripa scandens Aubl. but not Dichondra repens J.R. Forest. & G. Forst. , Jacquemontia pentanthos (Jacq.) G. Don or Cressa cretica L. are classified.
