Mark J. Winter

Mark J. Winter is a British chemist and professor at the University of Sheffield

Career

After completing his studies, he obtained his B.Sc. at the University of Bristol and received his PhD there in 1978 with Selby Knox and Gordon Stone. From 1978 to 1980 he had a NATO-SERC postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California with Peter Vollhardt. He then received a position as a lecturer at the University of Sheffield, where he also completed his habilitation and has held a professorship since 2014. He is also Director of Studies at the Faculty of Chemistry. Winter is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry .
