Marshall Lytle

Marshall Lytle (born September 1, 1933 in Old Fort , North Carolina , † May 25, 2013 in New Port Richey , Florida ) was an American musician.

He played double bass with Bill Haley & His Comets from 1951 to 1955 ; Among other things, he worked on the million-dollar hits Rock Around the Clock , Shake, Rattle and Roll and See You Later, Alligator .

From 1955 to 1959 he was a member of The Jodimars with Joey Ambrose and Dick Richards . In 1987, former Comets members Johnny Grande and Franny Beecher reunited with Lytle, Ambrose and Richards as Bill Haley's Original Comets . Lytle toured with the band until shortly before his death in 2013.
